Graza Team's Best and Worst Bites of March
The Graza team shares our BEST and WORST bites of March!! Including Martha Stewart's favorite Indian takeout, an evil slice of pizza, and ailment-curing noodles!
Kali, Brand
Best: Sun Noodles ramen at Expo West—SO GOOD! The broth was PERFECTLY HOT, the noods were perfectly al dente/chewy, and the flavor was just amazing. Cured me of all ailments.
Worst: No bad bites here!
Casey, Creative:
Best: My best bite of March was Rolo's Lasagna Verde. It's not even lasagna, it's everything and beyond. They took such a lame food and made it into one of the most memorable experiences—ratatouille ahh moment fr.
Worst: airport pizza in Boston it was so soggy and squishy and evil.
Maddie, Operations
Best: My best bite of March was Mariscos el Submarino in Greenpoint—the aguachile rojo with besties and a spicy marg—nothing better!
Worst: A sad bagged salad I bought from a grocery store for lunch #frugal but also #sad.
Linnea, Marketing
Best: Indian takeout from Chola (mine and Martha Stewart's favorite Indian in NYC) while watching the Severance finale. Perfect bite of garlic naan and butter chicken right as my heart shattered into a million pieces by the choices of Mark S.
Worst: A friend brought over a bag of bonbon candy for game night (I lost...) and did not tell me she got licorice. Terrible surprise.
Cassandra, Sales
Best: The West Indian Curry and Roti from Canje in Austin, TX. I cannot describe its decadence enough, but I dream about it every night. It's cozy, it's rich, it's a tad spicy, she really is THAT girl.
Worst: I meal-prepped a week's worth of a Mediterranean quinoa chicken salad in which I learned I actually hate parsley. I tried to stomach it, but simply could not. If you saw me trash a pound of chicken salad, you didn't.
Jackie, Operations
Best: Mountain House, the perfect amount of hot and numbing spices for all their Szechuan dishes. It feels like you're escaping to China in the middle of Times Square.
Worst: Local brunch spot in Forest Hills, it was so painfully mid.
Talia, Community
Best: The Tofu Bún from Saigon on 7th in Austin Texas! So fresh, so springy! Also the tofu was the perfect texture and the side of crispy fried eggrolls was the perfect lunch.
Worst: Yogurt with poorly mixed in peanut butter spread on a rice cake.
Cecilia, Copywriting
Best: My local fish market's Salmon Jerky (shoutout Monahan's Seafood). Melt-in-your-mouth savory spicy bite-sized treat.
Worst: The new Cheese Pizza flavored Cheeto Puffs. Not the "worst" per se but not the best. They do taste exactly like cheese pizza which is interesting for a gluten-free girlie... suspicious even...
Benny, Finance
Best: A creamy, beefy feta pasta I made!
Worse: Might be too vile for the GLOG, but a canned tuna pasta dish I attempted and had to throw out. I tried to emulate the classic tuna noodle casserole without using an oven but it didn't work out.
Paloma, Brand
Best: A sunset granizado at the beach—shaved ice covered in Pinito powdered milk and Kola syrup.
Worst: Undercooked attempt at Greek lemon potatoes that I took out of the oven too soon because I was starving :,(
Gabby, Social
Best: The SMASHBURGESA at Bar Toti
Worst: Stale donut holes at the airport—a miss for sure.
Brian, Operations
Best: I seared up some salmon to serve with a cabbage mango slaw, and that was by far my favorite meal of the month! It tasted just like living on a warm island somewhere, which is what everyone wants in winter.
Worst: Some potato chips that were fried in avocado oil. Now that I've had potato chips fried in Graza's olive oil, I can't go back to anything else.
Melissa, Strategy
Best: Soft serve pistachio gelato from Parla Pizza (after a few very good slides). They could have added a drizzle of EVOO to take it over the top!
Worst: brand will remain nameless but there was a salty snack I tried at Expo West that I had to spit out...
