Garlic Bread Pasta

Yes, we did just combine two of your favorite foods. And yes, it is perfect and delicious.

Ingredients

½ cup Sizzle

¾ cup panko breadcrumbs

8 cloves of garlic

1 bag of spaghetti noodles

½ tsp red pepper flakes

1 cup grated parmesean 

¼ cup chopped fresh basil, plus more for garnish

2 tbsp chopped fresh Italian parsley, plus more for garnish

Bring a large pot of salted water to boil.

Heat Sizzle in a large skillet over medium-heat. Once the oil is hot, add the breadcrumbs and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook until the breadcrumbs begin to toast. Grate one of the garlic cloves over the breadcrumbs, stirring to incorporate. Cook until all breadcrumbs are golden-brown, set aside.

Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook until al dente. Reserve 2 cups pasta water before draining. Add the remaining ¼ cup Sizzle to a pan and heat over medium. Add the rest of the chopped garlic cloves and red pepper flakes. Cook, stirring frequently, until the garlic is soft but not browned, about 3 minutes.

Add 3/4 cup pasta water to the pan with the garlic and bring to a simmer. Add half of the Parmesan, stirring until the cheeses has melted into the sauce.

Turn the heat down to low and transfer the pasta to the pan. Add the remaining cheese and toss to coat the pasta in the cheese. Add more pasta water as needed to create a silky sauce. Cook until the sauce is smooth, then turn off the heat and add the basil and parsley. Toss to combine.

Transfer the pasta to a serving bowl and top with the garlic breadcrumbs and Drizzle. Enjoy!
