What's a Frizzle?
Frizzle is the ultimate high heat cooking oil made for all your neutral-flavor cooking, baking, and grilling adventures! Think: searing meat in a cast iron skillet, stir frying veggies in a screaming hot wok, or even baking chocolate chip cookies — anywhere where you want to turn up the heat, get a little crispy, and not have a specifically olive vibe.
How is Frizzle Made?
Frizzle is a glorious mix of Olive Pomace Oil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Olive Pomace Oil is derived from the delicious olive mush left over from the first pressing of EVOO—yep, the same olives that give us Sizzle and Drizzle. Here's how it works:
Step 1: Picual olives are pressed (for the first time!) to make Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This usually happens with early harvest olives to yield a robust finishing oil like Drizzle (younger olives=punchier flavor) or later harvest to give us the more mellow oil we know as Sizzle.
Step 2: The olive mush (yum!) from that first pressing is pressed AGAIN to yield Pomace Oil.
Step 3: Finally, we add just a little heat and pressure to remove any possible impurities and add a *touch* of Sizzle to supercharge it with antioxidants and give it just a hint of flavor.
At last... FRIZZLE IS BORN!!
Why Use Frizzle?
Frizzle’s super high smoke point (up to 490ºF to be exact) and neutral-but-good flavor makes it perfect for frying, grilling, baking and more. Unlike most high heat cooking oils, it’s naturally extracted and refined without any chemicals, solvents, or additives. It’s the perfect swap for any seed oil, vegetable oil, canola oil (what’s a canola??), and avocado oil — PLUS it’s made from 100% olives, is naturally-refined and completely chemical-free!
